The hotel Catalonia Ramblas is located in the historic centre of Barcelona, few metres away from la Plaza de Catalunya and the famous Ramblas.
Housed in the former head office of the newspaper “La Vanguardia”, the hotel is a beautiful modernist building dating back to the beginning of the XIX century and designed by Josep Majó Ribas.

Without a doubt, its zone of Spa and Relax as well as its swimming pool located in the inner patio, will delight those who wish to relax after an intense day of work or tourist visit.

The hotel completes its offer with 9 diaphanous meeting rooms to celebrate any event, 2 Mediterranean cuisine restaurants, a bar and a fitness room.

central location, the room was clean well equipt and beautifully decorated and the bathroom was luxurious

we booked the room at a special reduced rate but the staff did try to charge one night at a higher rate

Location

We were transfered to another hotel of the same chain of hotels. Wifi is free in Catalonia Ramblas while in the Hotel I had to pay 20 euro's extra. I spoke with the desk employee, however he said that I had to wait 2 days before the manager was back and he was they only one who could say something about this. We had reservation for 1 night so no use for use.

the perfect position of the hotel, the nice design, the nice bar, the big shower

ther was suposed to be a gym, but it was 2 bycicles and 1 treadmill, tucked away in the basement... ther was suposed to be a bathtub in every room and i only had a shower...

very effiecient staff. wonderful room, great access for city centre sights, tour bus stop just outside, easy to find, short walk from Placa Catalunya and airport bus stop

convenient location

the wireless connection didn't work. The staff of the hotel didn't have a clue on how to resolve this.

It was right in the middle of the city and herself was delighted as it was on one of the main streets with all the famous Spanish retailers. Even when we slept in, somebody remembered to come and clean our room in the evening and they had spare adapters for UK and Irish plugs at the front desk.

Not that it mattered much but, of the 3 English TV channels were all news channels
